Dr Ian McNeil manages patients with the entire range of gastro-intestinal conditions. As a London Consultant Gastroenterologist he is consulted about indigestion and other stomach problems, abdominal pain and bowel conditions including constipation and diarrhoea as well as possible bowel cancer.
He has major clinical interests in:
- Dyspepsia and Helicobacter pylori
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Altered bowel function such as constipation and diarrhoea
He has regular endoscopy sessions, both privately and on the NHS, where he trains junior doctors in gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Dr McNeil's research interests started with large intestinal function and then extended to research in Helicobacter pylori. More recently he has carried out clinical research projects with his team of doctors.
